Most Outstanding WCO of the Month: Robert Dickey and Tom & Melodi Elliott

”Dictionary is the only place that success comes before work.” - Vince Lombardi

”How much is this Web site going to cost me?”
This is one of the most common questions that WCO’s are asked and one that cannot be properly answered without knowing exactly what your client’s needs are.

Think about it, you wouldn’t go into a hospital and ask for your bill before you’ve had a checkup, would you? The same principle holds true with quoting Web sites.

Your Web Specialists are experts at adding value to your product. They have years of training and experience, and know better than anyone how to present the software in a way that will maximize your profit potential. When you discuss the price before the walkthrough, you not only undermine your Web Specialist, but also risk losing profit or possibly the sale. To prevent this, stay in control of the appointment by simply answering:

“It really depends on your needs. It wouldn’t be fair of me to give
you a price without knowing exactly what your company’s needs are.”

Then, move the appointment forward.

Who sold the most Web sites?
May was one of the highest grossing months ever for Dollars by Design. Two WebCenter owners in particular clearly dominated the playing field by selling 6 sites each. Congratulations go out to: Robert Dickey and Tom and Melodi Elliott -- the Most Outstanding WebCenter Owners for May 2006!!! Great month!

Over one billion people have Internet access
According to a recent study by eMarketer, more than one billion people worldwide have access to the Internet.

In addition, the firm estimates that of these users, 845 million use the Internet regularly.
----------
Attention: Demo sites are automatically deleted after 60 days
Witness this recent call: "You've got to help me!! I spent over 30 hours customizing this site for my prospect, but now it's disabled and I can't access the site anymore!"

Unfortunately, this distress call is just one of many that our Customer Care representatives have to deal with every day. What’s more, this story doesn’t have a happy ending. Once a site has been purged from our servers, it is gone permanently, and there is absolutely nothing our Customer Care reps can do to bring it back.

An ounce of prevention is the only cure ...

This is a perfect example of when an ounce of prevention is the only cure. First of all, our Customer Care team recommends that you don’t spend a lot of time and energy into customizing the site before it is sold. It’s much more effective to keep it simple and let the Web Specialist bring it to life during the presentation, as well as add much more value to the product.

However, in the cases where you do put a lot of effort into a particular site, use the Create Layout feature in your WebCenter to save the site as a Custom Layout for yourself. Also, if your site is particularly top-notch, why not share it with your fellow WCO’s as a Shared Layout.  Not only will this prevent you from losing all of the customization work after 60 days, but it will also give you a head start putting together sample sites for future prospects in the same industry.

Did you know?
The United States has the highest number of Internet users with 175 million.

Did you know?
On any given day, 52% of users go online to check their email, 38% use Search Engines, 31% check the news and 30% surf just for fun.
